Messier 15 / M15 / NGC 7078 / The Great Pegasus Cluster

The Great Pegasus Cluster is a globular cluster containing over 100,000 stars. It is about 33,000 light-years away, orbiting the Milky Way, and it is estimated to be 12.0 billion years old. It is one of the most densely packed globular clusters known.

During my holiday break, I finally got enough time and energy to learn about the revolutionary new PixInsight tools released throughout the year. BlurXTerminator, NoiseXTerminator, and Generalized Hyperbolic Stretch are absolutely incredible. Now I spend less time on deconvolution, noise reduction, and stretching while getting way better results… It’s like voodoo. Now I have no choice but to reprocess a bunch of old images again!

About 2 years ago, M15 was my first proud attempt at capturing a globular cluster: flic.kr/p/QZiLro
